The Swamp Fox Golf Course in Kingstree is a course unknown by many. With Santee and Lake Marion several miles to the South on I95, The Fox prides itself on remaining unique by resisting change to this small community. Unlike its neighbors to the South, Swamp Fox is absent of noise, traffic lights, congestion, commercialism and housing on the course. That is what appeals to residents and visitors alike.

Designed by Robert White, the Swamp Fox golf course opened in 1935. Nestled in mature stands of southern pines, hardwoods and giant live oaks, any golf enthusiasts will find the Swamp Fox a player friendly but challenging layout. Measuring 6507 yards, distance is not as important as accuracy and one should not disregard the water hazards and sand traps. Regardless of your skill level, you are certain to enjoy the natural beauty of the course. You will almost always see wild turkeys, deer, herons, and occasionally a swamp fox along the course. Be sure and take the virtual photo tour from tee to green for both the front and back nines.
